Meet Our Pelvic Health Specialist

Shana is a Doctor of Physical Therapy with advanced training in pelvic health, orthopedic, lymphedema, and breast rehabilitation. Shana’s person-first approach prioritizes each patient’s goals and comfort, using a combination of education, manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and lifestyle modifications to improve their function and quality of life. She’s committed to making every session meaningful- building trust, connection, and care that feels personal.

Shana’s love for movement is at the heart of her practice. Whether she’s dancing, practicing yoga, playing soccer, snowboarding, climbing, or lifting weights, she brings an experiential understanding of the body in motion to her work. This connection to movement helps her develop therapy sessions for her patients that feel intuitive and empowering.

Originally from Montclair, New Jersey, Shana earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Boston University’s Sargent College in 2018. She began her career in Brooklyn, New York, where she spent seven years gaining clinical experience treating a diverse patient population and deepening her expertise in pelvic health rehabilitation. Now back in NJ following the birth of her first daughter, Shana is thrilled to reconnect with the New Jersey community. Shana is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Women’s Health Physical Therapy- and welcomes individuals of all genders and identities.

What can I expect at my first appointment?

Prior to coming in, you will complete a health history intake form, which will give us relevant background and allow us to personalize your evaluation. When you come in, we will continue to discuss your story, symptoms, and goals for therapy. You will get a comprehensive physical examination. In addition to external evaluation of joints, muscles, and nerves, this may include an internal evaluation, given your comfort and consent. No assessment or treatment will take place without your consent. We will collaborate on a treatment plan suited to your needs and provide you with an initial home program.

We understand that coming for pelvic therapy can be a new experience, and so above all, we strive to make you feel comfortable and heard.

Any relevant testing/imaging you may have completed. Comfortable clothing/shoes in which you can easily move.

Anyone with a pelvic floor! That means all people. However, we do not currently see pediatrics.

The number of sessions varies depending on your needs and is different for each patient. During your evaluation, we will work together to create a plan and will be able to adjust it along the way.
